The Grand Palais Metamorphosis

The Grand Palais is currently undergoing the most extensive renovation in its history. The film, directed by Stefan Cornic, tells the story of the current and past renovation projects. It looks back at the many transformations and events the building has hosted since its inauguration for the 1900 Universal Exhibition. The building is scheduled to reopen in three stages: during the 2024 Olympic Games, when it will host fencing and taekwondo competitions in the nave; in 2025, when the Réunion des musées nationaux galleries will open to the general public; and in 2026, when the Palais de la Découverte will unveil its new exhibition spaces.
