The Exeter Library by Louis I. Kahn

The Exeter Library by Louis I. Kahn
A gem of geometry and rigorous design, this library is one of Louis I. Kahn’s late masterpieces. Louis Kahn completely reinvented how a library was laid out by placing the readers in the natural light on the building’s perimeter around a huge central atrium. Completed in 1971 in the small town of Exeter in the U.S. state of New Hampshire, the Exeter Academy library is an eight-storey brick cube with four identical façades. A mysterious monolith.
