Kunsthalle
Although the Kunsthalle in Hamburg boasts many collections, from the Middle Ages to contemporary art, 19th century painting remains the most important. It was at this time that, under the guidance of its first director, Alfred Lichtwark, the museum enjoyed its most dynamic period of acquisition. From the avant-guard to the traditional, we find different periods and different styles, from the impressionist Edouard Manet’s Nana to the Revolution of the Viaducts by the enigmatic Paul Klee. Enjoy your visit!
