Neue Pinakothek
Founded in 1853 by King Ludwig of Bavaria, Munich’s Neue Pinakothek houses an exceptional collection of 19th century paintings. Here, you may admire masterpieces of German art of that era, like “The Poor Poet” by Karl Spitzweg. Gustav Klimt’s “Music” hangs alongside Cezanne’s “Self-portrait”. One of the most renowned paintings in the museum is Edouard Manet’s “The Luncheon”, in which the painter’s own son poses. Enjoy your visit!
