The Wallace Collection

Founded at the end of the 19th century by the collector Richard Wallace, this private museum in London houses a truly beautiful collection of European paintings. Amongst others, one can admire “The Laughing Cavalier” by Frans Hals or Rembrandt’s portrait of “Titus, the Artist’s Son”. French painting of the 18th century, in Gallant and Rococo vein, is particularly well represented, including none other than the masterpiece of licentious painting: “The Swing” by Fragonard.
