Vitra House

In 2006, VITRA asked Herzog & de Meuron to construct a building to showcase furniture from their new HOME collection. The building is to be a museum and showroom. The architects propose a stack of 12 houses with pointed roofs. 12 different houses whose combination and interlocking create surprising spaces, both inside and out. More than an archetype, it's a house made of houses, a stroll through ever-changing architectural landscapes.
