TEFAF Maastricht 2025: 38th edition

In Maastricht, TEFAF, the world's most prestigious fair dedicated to fine art, antiques and design, where 270 dealers from 22 countries unveil exceptional treasures. The 38th edition of TEFAF Maastricht, to be held from March 15 to 20, 2025 at MECC Maastricht, promises a rich program for art lovers and industry professionals alike. From new exhibitions to meetings with international experts, this edition will be a unique immersion in the heart of the art market and its evolution.

The place to be for the world's leading collectors and curators

TEFAF Maastricht is a destination of choice for private collectors, museum curators, art market professionals and art enthusiasts alike, not least because of the exceptional variety and scope of the works of art on display. This art fair attracts the world's leading curators and collectors, who can buy the finest works of art currently on the market. From modern and contemporary art to the traditional Old Master sectors, TEFAF offers a broad palette of art in all its forms. Canvases, photography, jewelry, 20th-century design and works on paper, antiques and classic antiques, rare, world-renowned pieces.

Once again this year, TEFAF intends to surprise its public with some of the great exhibitors who are regulars at this annual event, but also with some new ones. With galleries such as Galerie Ary Jan (France), Patrick Bourne & Co. (United Kingdom), Buccellati (Italy), Marianne Boesky Gallery (United States), Bastian (Germany), Thomas Deprez Fine Arts (Belgium), Lebreton (Monaco) and Margot McKinney The Finest Jewels (Australia).

TEFAF Showcase
Since 2008, TEFAF Showcase has supported young talents and emerging dealers in the international art market. In 2025, ten galleries will be highlighted, reflecting the expertise and diversity of TEFAF Maastricht: Amanita (USA/Italy), Desmet Fine Art (Belgium), FENG J Joaillerie d'Art (China), Galerie Nicolas Fournery (France), Galerie Raphael Durazzo (France), Lyndsey Ingram (UK), Montagut Gallery (Spain), Objects With Narratives (Belgium), Poncelin de Raucourt Fine Arts (France) and VETA Galeria (Spain). Dominique Savelkoul, Managing Director, underlines the importance of this initiative as a springboard for future leading dealers.

TEFAF Focus
Launched in 2024, TEFAF Focus highlights pioneering artists from a variety of mediums and eras, offering a platform to explore a specific artist or concept. In 2025, the selection includes Ketabi Bourdet, Ceysson & Bénétière, Galerie Pauline Pavec, Carolle Thibaut-Pomerantz, Maria Wettergren (France), as well as five new galleries: Paul Coulon, Anne Sophie Duval, Mariane Ibrahim, Alexis Lartigue Fine Art (France) and Richard Saltoun Gallery (UK).

A Summit to Rethink Philanthropy

The TEFAF Summit, scheduled for March 17, will focus on new models of art funding in Europe. Supported by the Dutch Commission for UNESCO, AXA XL, and Deloitte, it will explore alternative solutions in response to the decline of public funding. This crucial discussion will address how philanthropy and innovative financial models can sustain the nonprofit fine arts sector.

Spotlight on Belgian Modernism

An exclusive exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA), will highlight three key figures of Belgian Modernism: James Ensor, Rik Wouters, and Jules Schmalzigaug. This exhibition will also showcase the latest research on Ensor, conducted in partnership with the University of Antwerp, providing new insights into his work.

A Must-Attend Event for Art Enthusiasts

In addition to these highlights, TEFAF will also feature TEFAF Talks, TEFAF Meet the Experts and The Art Business Conference (ABC), offering visitors unique opportunities to exchange views with art market specialists and renowned cultural institutions, such as Kathleen Ferrier, President of the Netherlands Commission for UNESCO, Sergio Servellon, President, ICOM Belgium Flanders and Director, FeliXart Museum, and Barbera Wolfensberger, Director General for Culture and Media, Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
