On Art 2024 – The 13th edition of the Festival of cinema and arts

The 5th of July marks the beginning of the next edition of On Art, the largest film festival dedicated to art. It is an event with a unique formula, presenting various aspects of artistic creation through the medium of film.

Throughout the summer there will be the opportunity to see 40 films in 16 cities across Poland, including Warsaw, Poznan, Gdansk, Lodz and Szczecin.

The On Art film selection offers a captivating glimpse into the world of art, with a documentary exploring Peggy Guggenhaim and her mysterious donation; A close-up look at the characters of the art world's most relevant critics; A documentary of a Berlin artist confronting the reality of corrupt Bangladesh; or a dark animation about a ballet dancer struggling with his own ambition and mental problems. These are just a taste of the 40 different films you won't want to miss!

The Jury has curated a diverse program of films, encompassing documentaries, experimental works, video art, music videos, and animation. These thought-provoking selections delve into contemporary issues, offering a mix of personal reflections and socially-conscious narratives.

The screenings will take place in a variety of unique settings, from outdoor cinemas to cafes, museums, and cultural institutions, enhancing the immersive experience.

In addition, there will be screenings of films featuring music and dance as a prelude to the upcoming 3rd edition of the On Art - Dance & Music Festival in August in Warsaw.

The festival is organized by Fundacja Rozwoju Kinematografii.
